For the past few weeks, I have cut back on my soda intake and decided to drink water. Frankly, water doesn’t taste like anything so it was hard to have a taste for it unless I was extremely thirsty. Water is actually in everything we drink, but we don’t taste it. So why is it hard for us to drink it? Well, that would depend on the person, but I’m guessing the main reason is because of the lack of sugar.

In a country where sugar is in all our food, there is no wonder why soft drink companies never go out of business. America has become accustomed to sugar. It is in our diet and blood and likely not leaving us anytime soon.

I decided to give up all sweet drinks for twenty-one days and it wasn’t the easiest thing on the planet to achieve I carved Coke and sometimes wine, but I continued to push myself to complete the twenty-one days. During this time I noticed something different in my body. All the ailments that I complained about were non-existent and also my face was clear.

Yep, I found my own cure for my acne. Drink water. Who knew? Well, every one of my family members over forty. I remember how they would always complain about how I should drink water and scare me to think that I was going to die if I didn’t. I didn’t believe them, but what kid would. Kool-Aid tastes good and lemonade is my favorite drink ever.

My face had cleared up so fast while I was drinking water I wasn’t sure that I would ever drink soda again. Each week while I was drinking soda I would get a new pimple on my face. I had a ton of face wash and skin products to help prevent this, but they didn’t work. The key to getting your skin on track is diet. I’m glad I didn’t have to go to a doctor to figure this out. It would have been a waste of money and time. But if you don’t believe me, check out this article.
